After a stretch of road with breathtaking views, our frist stop is
Sorrento
It is considered among the most important tourist towns of Southern Italy. Built on a cliff terrace and with spectacular views over the bay of Naples, the charming town still retains important classical and medieval remains, which are flanked by the Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Here, you will be able to experience the local art and traditions; in the old town there are many shops for you to purchase local products, such as inlaid wooden items (famous all over the world) and the famous limoncello. You will also be able to view the Cloister (twelfth century) dedicated to St. Francis, the Mills and the Cathedral.
Positano
After the visit of Sorrento, the tour will continue to Positano. Along the way you will pass “Li Galli” or “Sirenuse”, a tiny archipelago consisting of three islands. It is considered the ancient dwellings of the enchanting Sirens.
Positano takes your breath away because it is a place only imaginable in dreams: its houses climb a hill so steep it looks like they are hanging from a cliff. The water of the bay is a miraculous blue-green color that promises to enchant you.
Walking through the small alleys that lead to the beach, you will find outdoor cafes, hotels and small artisan shops, which display their local products such as: Positano beachwear (linen clothing) and Vietri ceramics, an ancient local tradition.
Amalfi
At the conclusion of the visit of Positano , you will reach the main road which will lead to city of Amalfi, passing from Praiano, fjord of Furore and the small village of Conca dei Marini. Once in Amalfi you can take a short walk to visit the magnificent Cathedral of St. Andrew, or just enjoy the main square with its quaint shops.
Ravello
After Amalfi Our Private Driver will stop at the lovely town of Ravello , enchanting land, as it was described by famous names such as Richard Wagner, we mustn’t forget to mention Paul Valéry and Graham Greene, Tennessee Williams, Rafael Alberti and Gore Vidal. Among the statesmen, Einaudi, Kennedy, Mitterand, Togliatti and De Gasperi.To visit Villa Rufolo – with its tall pines and cypresses and terrace full of flowers- was Wagner’s inspiration for Klingsor’s magic garden from his opera Parsifal.
